To Pedi or Not to Pedi
By Ginny Jaehnig
It’s that time of year when most people have a tendency to ignore their feet, because if it’s not summer and they’re not showing off their newly polished toes or going on vacation, they think, who sees our toes anyway…
When in reality, foot care is needed all year long! With this time of year, there is less moisture in the air and our feet get cracked & dry. We need to put that moisture back into our feet. Our feet carry us everywhere we go (literally) and we can be extremely hard on them. If we don’t take care of our feet, it can lead to other issues, such as ingrown toenails and calluses building up, just to name a couple. Besides, it’s nice to have someone else clip our toenails, give our feet a good foot filing & a nice skin exfoliation that gets rid of all that dead skin & makes them feel brand new.
This year we have come up with a special service at KLorraine that’s offered during the winter months called “Spice Up Your Life”. First, we soak your feet for a few minutes and then exfoliate your feet & legs using a sugar scrub. Then, we do a short hand massage followed by a paraffin hand treatment.
A paraffin treatment is a warm, hydrating treatment that puts moisture back into your skin, usually for your hands or feet. It can also help with arthritis pain and other joint stiffness, fibromyalgia and inflammation.
While your hands are soaking up the paraffin, you’ll receive a foot & leg massage that will soak up all the moisture from the oil & lotion. This is a half-hour service for $40. You can add a polish change for $20. Believe me, your feet will feel so renewed & refreshed, that your feet will say “Thank You!”
So, the next time you think should I get a pedicure or not- imagine your feet could talk, what they would say…
